My name is Bill Mothershead and I live in Redmond, WA. I am a truck and safety supervisor. I was overweight for the last 10 years. I had tried all kinds of different methods to lose weight. I've tried pills and I've tried different diets and I'd lose 20-30 pounds but gain back 40-60. I used to eat a lot of junk foods, pepperonis or anything that had fat in it. Then when you're depressed, you just eat more. I was getting down on myself because of my weight and I knew that I had to do something. My self-esteem was getting pretty low. I was having issues at home because of it. I was becoming a diabetic and they were getting ready to put me on diabetic medication. My cholesterol was way of control and I was almost put on medication for that. I wasn't taking any medication and I didn't want to start.

Before I started the program, my daily routine was: I'd get up and go to work, come home and go to bed, day after day. I didn't feel like doing anything on my days off or at night. I was just worn out and depressed. Then one day I heard about Positive Changes on the radio and wrote down the number. It took me about 2 months before I made the decision to give them a call. My first impression of Positive Changes was positive but I was very skeptical. I had tried so many different ways to lose weight. I thought it might be just another one that wouldn't work.

The free consultation was very positive. The evaluator was very polite and asked me how much I wanted to lose and I said 70-75 pounds. After talking to her, I had a different outlook on the program. She had such a positive attitude, which made me have a positive attitude. I went home and talked to it about with my girlfriend and she said it was up to me. I called and set up my first session and from that time, I started seeing results. The first day I quit snacking and I have not snacked in between meals in almost 9 months.

To date I've lost right at 85 pounds. I've gone from a size 40 pants to a size 33. My shirts went from a 2XL to a large. In the first week I lost 7-8 pounds and the first month I lost 20 pounds. It took me about 7.5 months to lose 80 pounds and in the last month and a half I've lost another 5 pounds. Hypnosis relaxes me and helps me think positive thoughts about anything and it helps me tell myself that I can do what I want if I work at it.

When I first came here, my eating habits were sporadic. I ate anything at any time of the day. I'd get depressed or worried and I'd eat. After my hypnosis, the cravings, food binges and poor eating habits went away. I'm eating foods that I see in stores but never thought about eating. I now eat vegetables and fish. I never thought I would eat a raw carrot or celery but it's pretty good food. Before, I craved pepperoni, beef jerky, and any kind of fast food and chips. I craved all the foods that were very hard on your body. Now I have a completely different lifestyle of eating. Now my portions are small. I'm eating more fish and veggies and I feel 100% better.

I like eating a lot less and I'm enjoying it more. Positive Changes to me was very positive in how they do it. It's not a diet. You learn how to eat all over again the correct way. The cravings go away. It's a very good life change. Before I started Positive Changes, I didn't exercise much, maybe a little walk once a week. It was hard to stay motivated because I was really getting depressed. I'm exercising a lot more now. I came to class every week. I listened to my sessions every day and did everything that they said I should do. If you follow what they say to do 100%, then you're going to get 100%.

I suffered in a lot of ways when I was overweight. Family wise I missed out on a lot of things. I used to cowboy for a living. I used to rope and rodeo. I had to give all of that up because I couldn't get on a horse and enjoy myself. It was pretty hard and it takes a lot out of you when you've done something all your life.

This has given my confidence back and I'm more positive now. I'm very proud of my accomplishments and proud of what I've done and how I've done it. I feel very good about myself.

I used to drink about 3 sodas a day and now I drink none. I was eating fast food or junk food at least twice a day and now I maybe have a half a candy bar maybe once a month. I feel good about it. I was never really a water drinker before and now I'm drinking 8-9 glasses per day and water is good for you. I used to snack at all times of the day. I used to drive a truck cross-country and I'd eat a lot and drink a lot of coffee to stay awake. I do not snack during the day now. Before I came to Positive Changes, my food portions were very large and I'd eat until I didn't feel good because I ate too much. Now my food portions are very small. I'm full when I quit and it's nice to be able to walk away and past the foods that may look good, but I don't want them.

Now I crave veggies and fish. I drink a lot more tea and I couldn't stand it before. I drink a lot of water now. I used to think about food all the time and now I don't. I used to have trouble sleeping. I'd sleep maybe an hour and then wake up and cat nap the rest of the night. It was getting out of hand. Now I'm sleeping ¾ of the night. It really feels good and my body feels relaxed. I was always feeling tired and had no energy before. I didn't want to do anything. Now I have energy and I'm always wanting to do something. I'm working outside on my truck and I'm playing with my grandkids. Before I would come home at night stressed out from work and now I leave my work at work. I don't get stressed out. If I'm feeling stressed, I just discuss it with someone and I don't hold it in.

I'm now exercising 5-6 times per week. My eating habits have changed with the kinds of foods that I eat and the portions that I eat. I don't crave foods like I used to. If I don't feel like eating a meal, I'll eat some raw carrots or celery. My habits changed dramatically for the good.

I went to my doctor and had a complete physical and check up. He is very impressed with what I've done. He asked me how I did it and I told him about Positive Changes. His comments were that he was going to use me as an example because he had a lot of people who come in and say they are going to diet and then the next time they come in they have gained another 20-30 pounds. He is very proud of me. They did all my blood work and it is all normal now.

I have a lot more energy now. I don't have the pain in my knees that I had before. I'm more relaxed at work and at home. I enjoy doing stuff and I enjoy going to work where I was getting to the point where I did not enjoy it before I came to Positive Changes.

I learned very helpful information about food and nutrition from this program. If you listen to your sessions and listen to what they are trying to say, it's very fulfilling. It even helps you learn how to relax. It just changes your way of eating. It's helped me shop for food differently and I don't have all that junk food in my cart. I have nurturing food that's good for you.

My family and friends are very proud of me. They can't believe how I've changed. They are calling me skinny now. That's good to hear. They ask me how I feel and I tell them I'm proud of what I've done and I tell them how Positive Changes has changed my life.

It's really helped me as far as family goes. I was getting to the point where I was ashamed to go around my grandkids because I couldn't play with them like I wanted to. My friends would ask me to go someplace but I was very self-conscious about how I looked and I didn't want to go anywhere. I put a wall up between me and my family. Since I started this program, that's all gone away. I'm doing things that I enjoy doing with my family and at work. I'd like to get back into roping. I plan on going on a walk with my nephew and his wife. They are going on a 50-mile walk down in California and I'm going to go with them. I'm really looking forward to it.

The most valuable benefit that I've received is the way I look at life now. It's completely changed me for the better. The most incredible thing is how I look at life and how I'm enjoying it. The cost of the program at Positive Changes is very justified in my opinion. If you do what you're asked to do and follow the program, the results are 100%.

The benefits as a result of my program are that I'm doing better at work and my body is 100% better than when I started this. It's hard to explain. I give 100% credit to Positive Changes for the weight that I've lost. I could not have done it without them.

I have told a lot of people about this. Some are really thinking about it. I will never go back to eating the way I was. The food that I used to eat does not appeal to me anymore. That is one good feeling.
