My name is Suzanne Rozzo and I live in the town of New Plymouth, Ohio and I'm an afternoon school custodian. I have lost a total of 47 pounds thanks to my program at Positive Changes Hypnosis. I have gone down 3 belt sizes and have gone from a size 16 pants to a size 8.
My first appointment with Positive Changes was in the first week of April, 2009. I felt like a lost soul walking through the front door. But after talking with my consultant and relaxing, I was ready. We talked a lot about when, how, and what I ate. There was never a "sales pitch" or this is a "one time offer". After a thorough visit, we were both confident I was a good candidate for hypnosis. I was told by my birthday, September 16th, that I would have lost 40 pounds. When I got on the scale on my birthday I had lost 41 pounds. I just smiled. I just couldn't believe it. I just laughed. What better birthday present could anyone ever receive?
I had been overweight for about 10 years. Being overweight was miserable. It seemed I was hungry all the time. Breads and pastas were my favorite. I just couldn't fill up; it was as if my morning meal never ended. I always cleaned off my plate and always ate what I was offered. Not only were my portions large, but I always had seconds. I was a terrible night-time eater. I would go to bed and start thinking about what was in the refrigerator. Before I knew it--and no matter how much I resisted doing it--I got up and fixed a plate of food. I also had a habit of eating in my car. I could not drive past fast food restaurants without stopping. I no longer eat in my vehicle, I don't snack after dinner anymore and I don't miss it. Not at all.
As I started putting on weight nothing fit anymore. I had to buy new clothing in bigger sizes. My attitude changed, and not for the better. I didn't like my attitude. I wasn't the bubbly person that I always had been. I had aches and pains in my knees and feet and I kept trying to blame it on my shoes, ignoring the truth. Now, I have no aches or pains anywhere. I don't have to take ibuprofen any more. Nothing hurts and my blood pressure and cholesterol are back down to normal levels.
I actually came to Positive Changes because my horse had been falling down with me on it. I became so frightened to ride that I couldn't do it anymore. Riding is something that I have done all my life; but when my horse fell, I was at the point where I couldn't put my foot in a stirrup. I had a trip coming up to New Mexico in the wilderness on horseback and the thought of going actually turned my whole life upside down. I knew I wasn't going to be able to go on the trip. I knew I should cancel but I didn't want to miss the experience. I had finally resigned myself to calling and cancelling when I opened up the paper and there was an ad for Positive Changes Hypnosis. After my first hypnosis session, my husband and I went riding and it was amazing to me. I put my foot in the stirrup and got on and never even thought about it. The next week I went on my trail ride in New Mexico with no problem at all.
I had tried to lose weight before I came to Positive Changes. I had tried quite a few different approaches and I always thought this one is finally going to be the one. I'm going to make this one work. There are a lot of good programs out there, but they didn't work for me or my lifestyle. There was a lot of negativity that went along with some programs and they just didn't fit me. I would make some changes, but eventually it was the same old thing. I would fall right back into my old patterns. Associating with people that didn't change anything in their lives, I pretty soon was picking up my bad habits again and gained the weight back.
For about 1 year I had read ads from Positive Changes. I thought, "how fortunate are those people in the ads that they've accomplished their goals." I just did not know how to make it fit into my schedule. Then one day, I said I was going and I never looked back. I wondered if Positive Changes could help me. I decided to call immediately. I had a doctor's appointment the next day and I even went in and asked his opinion. He thought it was a wonderful idea. The next day I went to Positive Changes and that was it. I walked out of the door a completely different person. I had an hour and 40 minute drive, one way, but I made a plan, stuck with it, and here I am in my size 8.
I noticed changes in my behavior through hypnosis immediately. It was like you flipped a coin. When I walked out the door after my first session--with a smile on my face--I knew that everything in my life was going to change. It's been absolutely, 100% positive. Even with all the negative things that happen in life every day I've learned how to turn it around and make something positive out of it or let it go.
Since coming to Positive Changes, I eat 3 balanced meals a day with lots of vegetables, a protein and a carb. I drink plenty of water. I don't crave like I did, and if there is anything I want, I just eat it with my meal, even dessert. I haven't given up anything, I just make sure to have it with a meal. I don't feel deprived, and I don't need anything in between my meals or after supper. When asked if I would like a snack, I simply reply "no thanks". Portion size is now always in the back of my mind and keeps me aware of consumption. If I want something, anything, I just incorporate it into my meal. No deprivation! I also lay my fork down between bites and have a sip of water. I'm not on a DIET, I'm watching my diet. And if it's a long time in between meals, I simply snack on some protein and water.
I did exercise before Positive Changes but I did not have a regular routine. I tried walking and biking, but with the extra weight, it was just too exhausting. I was always so hot and uncomfortable. Since Positive Changes, every Monday I start my week by going to a gym and working out with a personal trainer. Wednesday and Friday I do some exercise at home and Tuesday and Thursday I do some type of cardio. Now I can really move when I walk and bike.
I lost weight my first week on the program at Positive Changes. I was losing a steady 3 pounds a week, so by the end of my first month I was 12 pounds lighter. My weight loss was the easiest thing I've ever done in my life. It was a no-brainer. I never had to think about anything and I've not given anything up. I learned how to control and how to portion and when to eat meals and to drink water and I've not had to give up my favorite foods. I am 100% in control of my eating habits and my life.
After I had lost 30 pounds I had another doctor's appointment with the same physician and he was fumbling with my paperwork acting like he didn't know who I was. He looked through everything and looked back at me and then looked at the paperwork again and looked back at me and said, "You've lost 30 pounds! How did you do that?" I told him I went to Positive Changes. He thought my success was wonderful.
Other people in my life have noticed the changes I've made, especially my husband. He has noticed that I don't snack at night anymore. I'm sure he was probably a little skeptical of Positive Changes at first, especially since it was a long drive for me to the center. He was hoping this was going to be the thing that finally worked for me. Now, he's my number one fan. He's so happy that I decided to come to Positive Changes.
Losing weight and getting healthy has given me so much more confidence. My energy is just boundless and I wonder what I am going to get to do next. I look forward to exercising now. The biggest benefit I have received from Positive Changes Hypnosis is my complete personality change. You can't change the outside until you really change the inside. When you change how you feel on the inside then everything else follows suit and pretty soon you look great and you're really happy. It's all in how you think.
There is no doubt in my mind that the changes I've made in my life will be permanent. Absolutely. I would recommend Positive Changes Hypnosis to anyone who is interested in changing their lives. I have several people already that I've given the information to. This program has just made me a completely different person. It's hard to put into words but it's been a fantastic change for me. Even after my first session I walked out the door with a whole new approach to life and food. I did it, so can you. Just believe.
