Weight LossSmoking CancellationBreakthrough Hypnosis

Jones, Carol  Meridian, ID

"My name is Carol Jones. I'm from Meridian, ID and I'm a retired business woman. When my husband saw an ad in the local paper and suggested that I take a look at Positive Changes, I thought this might work for me. I had considered it several times, but I was afraid of the price. I decided to call because I was at the end of my rope and wanted to lose weight. I did feel it was a little on the expensive side, but it turned out to be worth it. I have sure needed the time and the follow-up that came with it.

I was very surprised that I had immediate results from the hypnosis sessions. I couldn't believe they were happening. I could walk past food that I had not been able to walk by before. To this day, I can walk down a candy or cookie isle without even paying attention. I'll get to the end and go, "Wow, I walked through that thing. I can't believe it." So those are really unbelievable things that have happened.

I had been putting on weight probably since my 30s. I had an early hysterectomy and I quit smoking so I just kept adding 15 pounds at a time, until it just became ridiculous. Then I moved away from my secure home and moved to Idaho where I was all alone and put on another 30 pounds. That was when I found I was totally disgusted with myself. I just didn't think I could go another day. Since coming to Positive Changes, I have lost 60 pounds. I've gone down two pant sizes. I went from an 18 to a 14, and I was pushing the size 18.

I've tried losing weight in different ways. I went to "the point counting program" many times and was successful, at least the first time, but it didn't last. The next thing I knew, I would be back to my old habits. I was unhappy with my weight for a long time. Positive Changes did make it easy to lose weight. I had my ups and downs like anybody, but I feel that it is a program you can stay on for life. It teaches you how to eat and I didn't have food on my mind all the time.

Even after I had lost the first 30 pounds, I would get down on myself. I guess I didn't realize how much weight I had gained so I couldn't picture myself thin again. The process didn't appear fast enough for me but my husband was aware of my weight loss and assured me I was doing great. It wasn't until one day I was buying new clothes that I realized I had changed. I was so proud and said, That's me?"

Weight loss isn't the only plus with this program. Now I am outgoing and self-assured and as a result have made some great new friends. I noticed immediately how I reach out and talk to other people. Before I was much quieter and didn't talk to others. Now I'm always speaking out and saying hi and starting conversations. I had heard one time that other people are just as shy as you are, so why not be the first person to talk. I try to keep that in my mind now that I have more confidence. My husband also says I'm a much nicer person to be around. I'm much happier. With the amount of weight I lost came an abundance of energy I didn't have when I was overweight. I was listening to a session on procrastination one night and the next day I got up and cleaned the house like I hadn't in years. Now if I think I'll do that later, I say to myself "why not now?"

I do eat differently now. I also eat less. I put less on my plate to begin with. That way, I don't really have to control what I eat off the plate. I just don't have it there to begin with. I also don't go back for seconds. My big thing was eating between meals. Now if I think I want to eat, I'll go and have a glass of water instead. I eat something that's good for me, instead of the cookies. Before I was a person who could eat a whole handful of cookies.

It has improved my health. My blood pressure has gone down. My stamina has increased, for sure. I really can do so much more that I couldn't do before. Now I ride a bicycle every day. I started out slow. At first I could only go a block and back. Now I ride from five to ten miles a day, weather permitting. If I'm unable to ride my bike, I work out with Pilates on my exercise ball. I also do 20 minutes a day on the treadmill at 3-4 miles per hour while listening to books on tape. That sure makes a dull thing fun. My mental health as well as my physical health has vastly improved.

I am really satisfied with the program. The most valuable benefit is how I feel about myself and how I look in clothes. When you consider what I have gotten from this program and how it has changed my life, money is not an issue and it is well worth it. The most incredible thing that has happened to me since Positive Changes is the way I handle things and the new energy level.

Take it from me: Believe It and It Does Work!"
