Barck, Lisa Lewis Center, OH![]() ![]() My name is Lisa Barck and I live in Lewis Center, Ohio. I am an IT project manager. I completed my program with Positive Changes Hypnosis almost 2 years ago. From start to finish of my program I lost 60 pounds in 8 months and have been able to stop taking blood pressure medication--thanks to Positive Changes. I had been overweight off and on my entire life. When I was overweight I was stressed. I was not happy with myself. I was uncomfortable in my skin and in my clothes. I was very upset when I had to go to larger clothing stores. That was a big thing for me, shopping in the women's sizes. I couldn't shop with my friends. I don't have that problem anymore. I can enjoy shopping with my friends in regular size stores and its fun. When I was overweight I was a grazer. I would always have snacks on my desk at work, whether it was chips or crackers. I was always snacking at night. This was in addition to my regular meals. I ate all day. Since coming to Positive Changes, my habits have changed. I eat my 3 meals a day and that's it. I will occasionally snack but it's usually a piece of fruit. I don't graze all day. I don't snack at night anymore. The biggest change I made-- one I made after my very first session--was I have not had a soda since my first visit. I used to drink 6 Diet Cokes a day. I was addicted to soda. Now I just drink water. Every once in a while I'll have the urge to have a soda but the thought is usually gone before I can even get the drink. My husband and I eat out a lot. I'm still able to do that but now I make different food choices and I'm just as satisfied. I heard about Positive Changes in a newspaper ad and decided to give hypnosis a try. Before coming to Positive Changes I was skeptical. My husband was also skeptical, so that added to my doubts. My skepticism went away after my first session when I no longer had the urge to drink Diet Coke. That put things into perspective for both my husband and I; and we became believers in the program. I had never stuck with any diet for 6 months, so at the end my husband and I were both pleasantly surprised that I not only stuck with this program but I succeeded with it easily and naturally. What kept me motivated to stick with my program was the support I received from Positive Changes and the materials I was able to take home with me. And the best part is I've been able to keep my weight off for 2 years. The things I've learned with this program have been big for me. I haven't given up any of the foods I love. I still eat pasta. I still eat pizza every once in a while. I don't usually eat fried foods anymore, but if I crave French fries now I go ahead and have them. It's more about watching my portions and making healthy choices. That's what has made my weight loss easy and that's also what makes it easy to maintain my weight. This has been a lifestyle change for me. I don't even think about ordering foods that aren't good for me now. I just naturally look for foods that are good for me. I can't tell you how good I feel about myself. I am much more confident and more comfortable with myself. I like the way I look. I enjoy the compliments I receive.
