My name is Chris Hogan and I live in Boise, ID. I am a software developer. I have been overweight for most of my life. I have tried other weight loss methods in the past. I tried mostly diet restriction but the diet never stuck. I would always fall off the wagon and go back to eating whatever I wanted. I was not in control of my eating habits and I would always overeat. I felt bad about myself and my self-esteem was very low.
Before coming to Positive Changes, I would get up and go to the gym but I would not feed myself the right way. I would eat a lot of calories so even though I was working out, I would not burn enough to stop the weight gain.
Now that I\'ve come to Positive Changes, my day is started in the morning at the gym and after strength training I go run for an hour. I then go to work and have my breakfast, which is high in protein. For lunch I will have steamed vegetables along with a protein source. For dinner I have juice or water and then a healthy dinner.
Before Positive Changes I just ate anything. I stay away from the processed foods and the foods high in sugar that I ate before. Now I just watch what foods I buy and make sure they are really what I want to put in my body.
I heard about Positive Changes through the TV ads. I decided to call when I hit 336 pounds earlier this year and I knew that I was heading back to the 350\'s and I had said that I would never go back there. I considered coming to Positive Changes for about a year and a half before coming.
After the first hypnosis session I knew that it was going to work. The reason I knew that it was going to work was the fact that I felt the changes already happening. I was becoming more focused.
To date I have lost 121 pounds. I noticed changes in my behavior almost immediately. I was making many changes to the food that I eat. I also started seeing immediate results.
I\'ve gone from pushing a 4x shirt down to a XL and sometimes even as low as a large. I can fit in a size 38 pant and I was up to size 46.
The first month I lost about 20 pounds. It took me 9 months to lose the 121 pounds.
Now that I\'ve dropped so many sizes and become so physically fit and active, I am having to eat more of the healthy foods to get enough calories to maintain but I\'m still losing right now.
Positive Changes has made it easy to lose the weight. My motivation increased with the Positive Changes program. I was able to tailor the program so that when the seasons changed, I could focus on some of the activities that I love to do during that season.
I listen to my hypnosis processes two times a day. When I was overweight, I was very self-conscious and I didn\'t have any of the motivation or the courage to get up and talk to strangers. Now I will go up to strangers and talk to them as if they are best friends. I am very proud of my accomplishments and I feel very good about myself now.
Since I am being more social, I am actually eating out a lot more but I now make smart choices. I used to go for the 1200-calorie choices and now I wouldn\'t even touch those.
I used to snack a couple of times a day thinking I was hungry and now the only time I snack is if I think I need more calories for the day. I now eat an apple or banana for a snack. I used to just eat and eat. The portions would be huge. For example, I would have 6 slices of pizza.
I used to think about food all the time. Now I only think about food when I\'m trying to figure out my calories. I used to have fitful nights of sleep and wake up in the middle of the night with my brain going on and on. Now I get a nice night sleep. As soon as I\'m done listening to my session, I roll over and I\'m out. I used to have no energy. Now my energy level is skyrocketing.
I didn\'t handle stress very well before the program. I would internalize it and put the blame on me. Now I don\'t have any stress. If someone is being negative then that\'s them being negative and it has nothing to do with me.
I saw my doctor in May of this year and he was very excited about the changes that he saw. My blood pressure has come down even though it wasn\'t high before.
I\'m now in the process of working towards my goal of running my first race next year. I\'m working on interval training on the treadmill so that I can prepare for my first half marathon. My stamina has increased so much.
My family and friends have noticed the changes. In fact, my mother is in the program and has lost 24 pounds so far and my sister is jealous. I\'ve become closer with my mother. In general my relationship with everyone has gotten so much better.
The most valuable benefit that I\'ve received from Positive Changes is the mental focus. The most incredible thing that has happened to me since joining would be everything, getting down to the smaller sizes and being so focused on everything that I do.
I do feel that the cost of the program is justified and I am very satisfied with the results. I have so much more confidence that a few months ago I changed jobs and am now making more money.
I would definitely recommend Positive Changes to others. If it wasn\'t for Positive Changes, I don\'t feel that I would have the confidence to make the lifestyle changes that I needed to be this successful.
